Lutz Family
Extreme Makeover Home Edition

Sunday, October 3rd marks the unveiling of the Lutz family's new home as part of Extreme Makeover, Home Edition's latest project. Classic Pinball was pleased to donate two home gameroom items to the project, a Williams Alley Cats shuffle bowler, and a Road Kings four-player pinball machine. We delivered the games to the East Setauket, Long Island homesite during the hectic makeover process, and the pictures below show some of the behind-the-scenes activity that day.

The Lutz family found out about the makeover while attending the Yankee baseball game at Yankee Stadium on June 20, 2010. There, the makeover team announced that they would be getting the extreme makeover treatment. In the course of a week, their old home, in need of critical repairs, was razed and a new home was built in its place. Over 1000 people worked literally around the clock to meet the deadline, and the entire neighborhood was involved, with neighbor's lawns and streets used as staging areas for the massive construction effort. All labor and materials were donated, and per the EMHE formula, the fully furnished and decorated home was provided at no charge to the family. Click on the EMHE logo above for more info about the show and the Lutz family, and check out our photos below for a behind-the-scenes view during construction.
